The school operates on the Costa da Caparica, in the Muralha area — about 25 minutes from Lisbon over the 25 de Abril bridge. Instructors are certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and the IPDJ, with over 10 years of teaching and tourism licence RNAAT 313/2026. Technique and safety first — no one is pushed into waves they are not ready for.
Rompeolas teaches in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and Russian — so visitors from across Europe learn in their own language, with clear instructions at the moment that matters most: the take-off.

Surfers who already ride don't always want to carry a board to and from the beach. Rompeolas offers board rental — soft-tops for first steps, hard boards for those already dropping down the wall — plus wetsuits and full kits (board, wetsuit, leash). You show up, suit up, paddle out. And if you want to take the session home, there's professional photography of your wave — because the first time you stand up deserves to be remembered.
