From 9 to 12 November, Lisbon hosts Web Summit. Surf Booking was selected and brings what it built for surf schools, surfers and instructors.

Web Summit returns to Lisbon from 9 to 12 November 2026, at MEO Arena and FIL. Opening night is on the 9th, and the conference days run from the 10th to the 12th. Surf Booking was selected and will be there.
For us it's a short trip: we were born on the Portuguese coast, and Web Summit sits next to the sea where our schools teach every day.
What we're bringing
- The schools' operating system. Lessons, students, instructors, equipment and payments in one place, running on the computer the school already has.
- The forecast by level. We don't just grade the sea: we say whether the hour works for a first lesson, for someone who already surfs, or for nobody.
- Kai. The assistant that helps a school create lessons, move students and read the sea, and always asks before it acts.
- The link to ChatGPT and Claude. A surfer can ask where to learn this week and get real lessons, with each beach's forecast.
Why it matters
Most surf schools still run on notebooks, spreadsheets and messages. We want to show they can work like a real operation without losing what makes a surf school good: the sea, the instructors and whoever shows up for their first wave.
