You can permanently delete your Surf Booking account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Choose one of the two options below — both end with the same outcome.
1From the Surf Booking app
Open the app and sign in.
Tap the Profile tab (bottom-right).
Scroll down and tap Settings → Delete account.
Confirm your password. Your account is removed within seconds.
2By email
If you no longer have access to the app, send an email from the address linked to your account asking for deletion. We confirm receipt within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days (the GDPR Art. 12.º statutory limit).
Your Surf Booking account (login, password, email, phone, name, photo)
Personal preferences (height, weight, foot size, surf level)
Health information you provided (allergies, medical notes)
Your gallery photos and Passport stamps
Followers, favourites, push tokens, chat history with schools and the Surf Booking team
Reviews you've written (anonymised — the rating stays so the school's average doesn't change retroactively, your name is removed)
Bookings you made (anonymised — payment / refund history must stay for the school's accounting and Stripe records, but your name is replaced with 'Apagado')
What is kept (and why)
Anonymised booking + payment records — required by Portuguese tax law and Stripe for at least 5 years (RGPD Art. 6.º(1)(c) — legal obligation).
Aggregate, non-identifying analytics (e.g. "X lessons happened in Espinho in May").
This action is permanent. Once deleted, your Passport stamps, lesson history visible inside your profile, reviews and chats can NOT be recovered — even by the Surf Booking team. Pending refunds (if any) will be processed before the account is removed.
