MARÉE
You set the beginner lessons for 9am because that week the tide was right at 9am. Two weeks later the same 9am lesson gets a full tide and shore-break — and nobody changed anything, because nobody noticed.
You say which tide that lesson works on — low, rising, high — and the hour stops being yours and becomes the sea's. Every day the system finds the right window on that beach and books the lesson inside it. You stay in charge: you set the hours your school opens and it never steps outside them.

When you create the lesson you pick the window: low, rising, high. It is the same call you already make in your head looking at the tide table — except it gets written down once instead of every week.
The tide is not the same in Carcavelos and in Matosinhos, and the gap between two breaks can be over an hour. The window is computed at the break where the lesson happens, not on a national average.
Because the tide runs about 50 minutes later each day, the lesson hour moves with it. Monday's lesson and Friday's are not the same clock hour — they are the same sea hour.
You set when your school opens and closes, and the automation works only inside that. If the tide window falls outside, the lesson stays where it was and you are told — never booked at seven in the morning because the tide happened to be right.
